When can I book tickets & packages for Verknipt Malta?
Tickets are not on sale yet. Pre-sale opens on 16 September at 12:00 CEST and regular sale opens on 23 September at 12:00 CEST.
Is there a minimum age to enter Verknipt Malta?
All Verknipt events are 17+. Make sure to bring your ID.
On which days will Verknipt Malta take place?
Verknipt Malta will take place from 16th till 19th of September.
At which location will Verknipt Malta take place?
Verknipt Malta will take place at multiple locations like, outdoor world-class clubs, historic venues, open air beach clubs and pool parties! All of the parties will take place around the Island of Malta.
Is it possible to pay in installments?
Yes it is possible to pay in installments for the tickets. KEEP IN MIND: you are obligated to finish paying your installments!
For individual tickets the rules of Klarna are applicable for paying the package in full.

Which payment methods are accepted for purchasing tickets?
Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay & iDeal. It is also possible to pay in installments, but KEEP IN MIND: you are obligated to finish paying your installments!
For individual tickets the rules of Klarna are applicable for paying the package in full.
Do I need a separate ticket for each party?
No, your festival ticket grants access to 5 events during the festival, but not the opening party. For this you can purchase tickets separately for the event of your choice.
What are the cancellation policies?
All tickets are non-refundable, so it is not possible to cancel your tickets, but you can safely resell them via our official second hand ticket partner, TicketSwap. Go to www.ticketswap.com and sell your ticket to another visitor!
KEEP IN MIND: if you paid in installments, it is only possible to resell if you paid your package in full.
Do I have to print out my booking?
No, it is allowed to show the booking confirmation email on your phone. Make sure to put the brightness of your phone on 100%.
What are 'sealed tickets' and why can't I download my festival tickets?
Verknipt works with sealed tickets. These tickets can only be viewed and downloaded shortly before the event. When it's time to download your tickets, you will get a notification by email from Weeztix (our ticket provider).

What happens if the event cannot take place?
If the event can't take place due unforeseen consequences, you can request a refund. In that case further instructions will be given through email.
What is included in my Verknipt Malta Festival Pass?
Your Festival Pass gives you access to the five main Verknipt Malta events. Please note that the Opening Party is not included and requires a separate ticket.

When will the line-up be announced?

Can I bring sunscreen to the Festival?
It is allowed to bring sunscreen to the festival but spray bottles are not allowed!
Can I bring my photo or film camera to the festival?
Professional gear (or other gear that is used for commercial purposes) is not allowed unless communicated beforehand and with the organisation's approval.
Is there a smoking area?
All the events are outdoor, so you can smoke wherever you want, as smoking is allowed in outdoor areas in Malta and the clubs are not specifically prohibiting smoking.
Are there cigarettes and/or vapes available for purchase at the location?
There are both cigarettes and vapes available for buying in the clubs.
Can I buy hearing protection at the festival?
Yes! There will be hearing protection available at the merchandise stand.
Can I bring my medication to the festival?
With an official doctor's note it is permitted to bring your medication to the festival.
Which items are forbidden to take with me?
Hard & soft drugs, laughing gas, (alcoholic) beverages, glassware, (plastic) bottles and/or caps/lids, (foldable) water sacks, cans, flags, sticks, umbrellas, grinders, walking sticks (medical crutches and devices excepted), animals, banners, stickers, balaclavas, (partially) face-covering masks, loose metal chains (incorporated into clothing or accessories is allowed), objects with discriminatory and/or provocative texts and/or expressions, polarizing or group-specific clothing with unwanted expressions on clothing (including football shirts, motorcycle clubs, etc.), sports club clothing, weapons or objects that could be used as weapons, objects that could negatively affect the safety, health or well-being of visitors, aerosols, sprays, atomizers, fireworks, flares and transport vehicles.
Will I receive a wristband?
Yes. Festival Pass holders will receive a Verknipt Malta wristband, which will be used to access the events included in your pass. More information regarding wristband collection will be shared closer to the festival.
Can I give my wristband to someone else?
No. Festival wristbands are personal and must remain securely attached for the duration of the festival. Removed, damaged or tampered-with wristbands may become invalid.
What happens if I lose or damage my wristband?
Please immediately visit the festival help desk. Replacement is not guaranteed and may involve an additional charge.
Does Verknipt Malta have a zero tolerance drugs policy?
Verknipt maintains a zero tolerance policy on drugs. It is forbidden to use, trade or possess any drugs at the event. When the organization spots or confirms any infringements, the offender can be handed over to the police. When the delinquent is being caught he/she will be transferred over to the police. In Malta before entering the event there won't be any drug deposit bins to throw away drugs without consequences.
Is the location accessible for wheelchairs?
All the clubs have access for wheelchairs.
Will there be an availability of food & drinks at locations available?
There are different options available at the clubs.
Is there a supermarket available at the location?
There are no supermarkets available at the location but there are options in the city centre.
What will the opening hours be per day?
Opening hours will be shared closer to the festival.
Which payment methods are accepted at the venue: Is it an all cash event or pin only? Or tokens?
There is no token model of payment available on the location. The available payment methods are: Visa, Mastercard, Maestro and cash.
Will there be merchandise available?
Yes! We'll bring our Verknipt merch to Malta! Make sure you stop by our merchandise stand.

What is the weather like in Malta in September?
September is still very much summer in Malta. Expect warm temperatures, plenty of sunshine and warm sea temperatures. We recommend bringing summer clothing, swimwear, sunglasses and sunscreen.
What currency is used in Malta?
Malta uses the Euro (€).
What language is spoken in Malta?
Malta's official languages are Maltese and English. English is widely spoken throughout the island, so international visitors will have no problem communicating.
What type of plug sockets does Malta use?
Malta uses Type G plugs, the same three-pin plug used in the United Kingdom. Visitors from most European countries should bring an adapter.
Do I need a visa to travel to Malta?
Malta is part of the Schengen Area. Entry requirements depend on your nationality, so make sure to check the official requirements applicable to you before travelling.
Do I need a passport to travel to Malta?
Your required travel document depends on your nationality and country of departure. Make sure your passport or national ID meets Malta's entry requirements before travelling.
Which airport should I fly to?
Fly to Malta International Airport (MLA). Malta has one international airport.
How far is the airport from the main tourist areas?
Malta is compact. Most popular accommodation areas can normally be reached within approximately 20–40 minutes by car, depending on your destination and traffic.
Is Uber available in Malta?
Yes. Uber and Bolt operate in Malta, alongside other taxi services.
Is Malta safe for tourists?
Malta is considered a safe tourist destination. As with any festival or holiday destination, take normal precautions and look after your belongings, friends and personal safety.
Can I drink tap water in Malta?
Tap water in Malta is safe to drink, although many visitors prefer bottled or filtered water because of its taste.
Can I use my mobile data in Malta?
EU roaming rules generally allow EU/EEA visitors to use their mobile plans in Malta subject to their provider's fair-use policy. Visitors from outside the EU should check roaming charges with their network before travelling.
What can I do in Malta outside Verknipt?
A lot. Make the most of your trip with beaches, boat trips, Comino and the Blue Lagoon, Valletta, Mdina, Gozo, beach clubs, restaurants, diving and Malta's nightlife.
